Replica of the SS Foray for ''FORAY THE MOVIE''

The S.S. Foray was an Ocean Liner originally built for Aric & Hurst Lines. She was launched in 2011, and set out on her maiden voyage in 2012. Before she sailed on her maiden voyage, she was transferred and became the flagship of company "Rosea", owned by Rockbone11 & JackMarrow. She was built by Rockbone11, as well as several others. She was the largest ship in Rosea's fleet until the SS Vega was completed. S.S. Foray sunk on her first night out at sea, not at all long after she entered service, however around a year later she was raised and underwent a rebuild, changing and adding several aspects to her design. She was intentionally sunk during war to save her a little while later, later raised again and returning to service.

Foray is currently moored in port, and it is unknown if she will return to service.

An important thing to note is Rosea, & Model Star Line, the owners of Foray, and all their roleplays take place in a different universe. Things like the Titanic disaster never happened.

First Sinking []

In 2012, the S.S. Foray was on one of her transatlantic routes, and was sailing in shallow waters through heavy fog, when due to the low tides, she struck what was either a rock, or a coral reef on her starboard side at nearly full speed. Unlike Titanic, instead of a series of small holes along the waterline, one huge gash was created on her starboard side, increasing her flood rate faster than what the pumps could deal with. To make matters worse, Foray's power malfunctioned while the Watertight Doors were closing, and although the power stayed on for the most part, several forward watertight bulkheads were stuck halfway open during their descent. Not long after collision, after inspection, the Captain of Foray at the time, username "Quickhead555", was informed Foray would sink in what would be around an hour or less, as 4 of Foray's watertight compartments were flooded, and Foray could only stay afloat with 3. All hands were ordered to the lifeboats as the Abandon Ship order was given.

As water reaches Foray's nameplate, an S.O.S. is sent out, and several ships, including the Lakopepe II, respond to the distress call. However, rescue wouldn't reach the scene until nearly 2 hours later. Due to the failure of several forward bulkheads, Foray is already close to taking her final plunge. The situation is only made worse as several Watertight Bulkheads begin to leak and then burst due to the pressure of all the water. The stokers, engineers, and electricians then abandon their posts, except for a few who stay behind to set up the pumps and keep the electricity on as long as they can. As the last of Foray's lifeboats are being launched and the collapsibles are being set up, water reaches Foray's forecastle and forward well deck. 45 minutes after the initial collision, water has reached the middle decks, and Foray is starting her final plunge.

The last of Foray's collapsibles are being lowered as water reaches the bridge. Captain "Quickhead555" then declares "Every man for himself!". As the last lifeboat is lowered, it capsizes, as Foray suddenly dives down, and the bridge is swamped as panic ensues the 40-50 people still on the ship. Several people are swept into the water by the dive done by the bow, and they attempt to swim for the upside down lifeboat, as this is occurring, Foray's first funnel collapses. A huge wave is generated, and this sweeps everyone in the water, as well as the capsized lifeboat away from the ship. Most people still on the ship at this point are now already, or trying to get, to the stern, as all hope is lost.

Air pockets inside the Foray being imploding as water rushes up the Foray's Grand Staircase. Foray violently shudders for around a minute, and the glass dome above the staircase is shattered, pouring in gallons of water. As the second funnel dips underwater, Foray's power has nearly failed, as the lights are either shutting off, or burning a red salmon-y color. The workers still down in the ship flee their posts as the flooding overwhelms them. As Foray's 3rd funnel begins to touch the water, the Stern is now high in the air as those on board are now sliding across the decks. Foray's last compartments finally give way, accelerating Foray's sinking even more. The last of Foray's power fails, and the ship is now completely in darkness. As Foray's fourth funnel is now underwater, the ship is only being held up by the remaining air pockets in the aft section, however, these too give way, and the stern plunges underwater around an hour and 15 minutes after the initial collision.

The death toll was around 15-30 people, and the survivors were later rescued by fellow Rosea ship, Lakopepe II.

Raising []

A year after the sinking, Foray's wreck was found, and not long after, raised from the ocean to re-enter service. She was refitted and repaired at an un-named shipyard, then returned to service as a Hospital ship during the Cardanian war. She would then continue to serve as an ocean liner under Model Star Line after the war as their flagship, serving as both a Cruise Ship, and assisting during wartime. A sequel to the Foray Movie was made out of this.

Second Sinking []

The Foray was intentionally sunk outside a harbor during war when a bombing was likely to occur, to save her. She was raised once more and returned to service after the end of the war.

Dec. 2021 Sinking[]

During the Jibberian-Georgienstinian war, during missle strikes on Hesnia, the Foray was damaged in her port, although repaired after the end of the war, and returned to service.

Wreck[]

The Wreck Of SS Foray

The wreck of The Foray formerly lied around 3.000 Meters below the surface. After she plunged underwater, she nearly righted herself before hitting the seafloor. Her wreck was in great condition, which was one of the reasons she was raised.

Movie[]

The major builder of the S.S. Foray, Rockbone11, went on to create a movie of the Foray disaster, naming it "Foray The Movie". It had seven parts, and can still be viewed on Youtube. Several survivors of the original Foray were portrayed as themselves in the film.
